How to get more customers for your moving company

Many moving companies do not have a lead problem, they have a lost-lead problem: slow replies, quotes without follow-up, forgotten contacts. Fix these before you spend on advertising.

1. Get found on Google

People searching "movers" plus their city see the map with local companies first. A complete Google Business Profile, with the right category, service area, opening hours and real photos of your trucks and crew, is free and often your most important source of requests.

2. Ask for a review after every move

Reviews decide who gets the call among the companies on the map. Ask straight after a successful move, while the customer is happy, with a direct link. Reply to every review, including the negative ones, calmly and to the point.

3. A website that collects complete requests

Your website should say clearly where you work and what you do, and have a request form that asks for the useful details: addresses, date, floor, rough volume. A complete request becomes a quote much faster than a vague phone call.

4. Reply first and follow up on quotes

Customers usually ask several companies and choose among the first quotes they get.

  • Reply to new requests the same day
  • Send a clear quote that is easy to accept online
  • Call back customers who have not answered after a few days
  • Note why a quote was lost

5. Partnerships and numbers

Estate agents, property managers, companies relocating staff and storage providers can send you a steady flow of jobs. And measure: how many requests come in, how many become jobs, how much you collect. Without numbers you cannot tell what works.

MovesFlow collects requests from your website form and email in one queue, lets you send quotes that customers sign online, and shows requests, confirmed jobs, conversion and revenue for any period on the dashboard.
